Stoltenberg called the signs of Russia’s preparation for an attack on Ukraine

Russia is not withdrawing troops from the border with Ukraine, but rather increasing its military presence near them, which indicates a “very, very” high risk of invasion. About it declared NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with ARD.

He backed US President Joe Biden’s claim that Russia was escalating the situation in the Donbass to create a pretext for an invasion.

Among the warning signs, Stoltenberg named violations of the ceasefire, false allegations of a possible genocide of the inhabitants of the self-proclaimed republics and the evacuation of the population to Russia.

The EU did not believe the statements of the leaders of the DPR and LPR about the imminent invasion of Ukraine
