A large fire raged last night in a farm on Driestedenweg in De Weere. The farmhouse has been completely lost.
A fire broke out in a stop farm on Driestedenweg in De Weere on Friday night around 00:20. Soon flames were shooting out of the roof.
Regional assistance
Large numbers of firefighters attended the fire. Assistance was requested from the regions of Hoorn, Opmeer, Heerhugowaard and Medemblik, among others. Firefighters were unable to prevent the roof from burning completely. The fire was under control after an hour of extinguishing.
Due to the fire, the Oosterboekelweg between Lambrechtschaag and De Weer was temporarily closed to traffic last night. It is unclear how the fire started and whether there were any injuries.
