It is a bitter loss for the fashion boutique “Borowsky” in Prenzlauer Berg: burglars stole five original Udo Lindenberg paintings from the shop at the beginning of August!

As BZ learned, the boutique had received the pictures as an opening gift. They were hand-signed by Lindenberg, numbered and framed. The paintings hung in a row above the counter. Now there are only empty nails.

No surveillance camera

The thieves could have spotted the Lindenberg pictures from the front door. The glass door gives a clear view of the wall on which the paintings hung. According to BZ information, professionals must have been at work during the burglary. The door is made of bulletproof glass, the perpetrators must have broken the lock. This triggered the alarm and notified security guards and the police. The shopkeepers only found out about the crime from the officials.

The police were able to determine the time of the crime almost exactly thanks to the alarm: the burglars must have struck between 4 and 4.15 a.m. on August 7th. According to BZ information, there is no surveillance camera that could have recorded the perpetrators.
