Stoffel Vandoorne remains World Cup leader after fifth place in Jakarta
The West Flemish came out of the qualifying eighth and moved up one place on the starting grid after a penalty for the German Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche). Vandoorne then passed Swiss Sébastien Buemi (Nissan) and Briton Jake Dennis (Andretti) but then got stuck behind Portuguese Antonio Felix Da Costa (DS Techeetah).
The victory went to New Zealander Mitch Evans (Jaguar). He achieved his third win of the season ahead of Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) and Swiss Edoardo Mortara (RoKit). Vandoorne retains the lead in the World Cup standings with 121 points ahead of Vergne (116 points).
