Starting signal in Florida. Billy Joel and Sting performed the first concert of their joint tour in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, February 24th. In addition to performances of their solo hits, they also appeared on stage together twice to present new duets. You can read some excerpts from the evening and the setlist here.
A total of 40 tracks for Sting and Joel’s fans
The two opened their co-headlining tour with a collaborative performance of the Police song “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” Sting then offered his fans a total of 16 tracks, taken from both his solo and Police discography. For “Englishman in New York” he was supported by Shaggy, with whom he recorded the album “44/876” – he performed the remaining songs alone. The 72-year-old concluded his part of the evening with “Roxanne”.

Billy Joel had 20 songs for his part of the concert. After some classics, he also brought a cover of the Rolling Stones track “Start Me Up” and sang his new single “Turn The Lights Back On”, which has only been presented live twice before. Then he brought in Sting and made “Big Man on Mulberry Street” a duet with him.
