Still Ukrainians in hotel Bergen aan Zee: agreement on money after all

After the deal to house Ukrainian refugees in Hotel Nassau fell through earlier this week, there is now agreement on the price: the hotel receives 35 euros per person per day. From 1 November, a maximum of 90 Ukrainians will be accommodated in Bergen aan Zee.

Hotel Nassau will have to be renovated before the refugees can go there. This requires about 90,000 euros, which will be paid by the government. The reception agreement with the hotel is for three years, with the option of extending it for another two years.

An information evening that was scheduled earlier this week, but barely was canceled because the municipality and the hotel could not find a financial solution, will be organized again. In the short term, residents and entrepreneurs of Bergen aan Zee will receive an invitation to a meeting in their village.

The city council unanimously approved the agreements made with the hotel last night.
