Is there more going on with Ron Brandsteder than his employer Omroep MAX claims? The Story has approached his wife and she keeps tight lips. “And that’s strange.”
In his heyday in television, Ron Brandsteder was quite a big man, a real Burgundian type. Many people were shocked two years ago when he suddenly appeared very emaciated. Six months later, he also came across as very frail in front of the RTL Boulevard camera.
Rumors about Ron
And now, a year and a half later, Ron is stirring things up because he missed his own radio show. Broadcasting MAX colleague Angela Groothuizen became last minute flown in as his replacement and she speculated wildly. She indicated that she has no idea where Ron is. MAX states that Ron just had a day off, but his ex Patty Brard questions that.
According to MAX, Ron will be behind the microphone again on NPO Radio 5 this Friday ‘if all goes well’. But isn’t there just more than a day off here and is there something that his employer doesn’t want to say?
Woman is silent
Weekblad Story thinks it’s a suspicious situation. “The unexpected and unexplained absence of Ron reinforces the already circulating rumors that he is not doing well,” writes editor-in-chief Guido den Aantrekker in the this week’s edition.
Apparently the magazine also took a look at Ron’s hometown of Breukeleveen. “He was not seen there last weekend.”
Modern water villa
Not even around his modern water villa, says Guido. According to the magazine maker, the millionaires’ village is also growing ‘concerns that something is wrong with their famous neighbour’.
