Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is ‘boring’

Quentin Tarantino is not one to keep his opinions to himself. And so he didn’t hesitate for long when he was asked about the “Indiana Jones” films in an interview. For him, Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the most boring work in the series.

Speaking to the ReelBlend podcast, the Kill Bill director spoke out against the 1989 third installment. “I don’t like the Sean Connery movie,” Tarantino said. “He’s boring. And [Connery] isn’t an interesting character,” he underpins his unpopular opinion. In addition to Harrison Ford as an action hero with a hat, this film also features Sean Connery as Professor Dr. to see Henry Jones. A part that Tarantino could have done without.

On the other hand, the US filmmaker named “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” from 1984 as his favorite “Indy” film, which he would even describe as the best Spielberg flick ever, followed by his 1975 film “Jaws”.

While he shares many opinions about other films, Tarantino keeps a low profile about his own work. He is currently planning his tenth – and final – film. This is to be called “The Movie Critic” and is expected to be released in 2025. However, concrete information is missing.

The current, fifth Indy part, “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny”, has meanwhile been shown in German cinemas since June 19, 2023.
