Steven Brunswijk feared the collapse of his ticket sales after Yvonne Coldeweijer in August juice spread over him. “I was accused of everything and anything.”
Comedian Steven Brunswijk and his beloved Ayla went wild in August during the Canal Parade in Amsterdam. In the midst of a huge crowd he began to talk very violently with another woman. Bystanders made images and they ended up at the juice channel of Yvonne Coldeweijer.
‘Not cheated on’
Yvonne was shocked. She posted the video online, writing:Does your wife know?“
Steven came quite quickly with a reaction to this juice from Yvonne. He said his wife is okay with it. “It’s a shame that nowadays you are forced to discuss your private life as a famous person. But yes, it is what it is. In any case, it was a lot of fun with the four of us. Sorry Yvonne, but I didn’t cheat on you.”

How does Steven look back on this two months later? He tells in the Volkskrant that he had to come up with a statement. “I was accused of everything and anything,” he says in the newspaper.
Steven feared his career would collapse if he didn’t come up with an explanation. “If I didn’t say anything, it would mean women wouldn’t buy tickets to my shows anymore, people would be berating me on Instagram. So I had to respond.”
Phenomenon
Why is the cheating of celebrities suddenly such a hot topic become? Love researcher Tila Pronk thinks that the juice channels are responding to the ‘conservative image of relationships among the majority of Dutch people’. “They are monogamous, adultery is the death blow to a relationship and cheating is morally reprehensible.”
She continues: “I see the judgmental tone on the juice channels as a very American phenomenon, and the attraction is that it creates a makeable, controllable world in which we are all perfect, and mistakes are punished harshly. Many people derive a sense of security from that.”
The images of the kissing Steven are still on dumper.
