Stetson x Bavarian National Museum: the history of the hat

Hat maker Stetson has entered into an exclusive collaboration with the Bavarian National Museum and will celebrate the culture of headgear from autumn/winter 2022. The US company accompanies the special exhibition “The main thing – hats, hoods, hip-hop caps”, which will take place from October 20, 2022 to April 30, 2023.

The exhibition includes around 250 hats, bonnets, caps and other original headgear from the Stetson collection. On display are selected models that come from overseas archives and European collections and are on loan to the museum.

The brand was also inspired for the collaboration by one of the largest museums in Germany and chose the Bavarian National Museum as the background for the motifs for the autumn/winter collection 2022. The campaign focuses on craftsmanship, which has been part of the brand’s DNA since 1865.
