Ecologists have discovered a tawny owl in a tree on the edge of the Sterrebos next to VDL Nedcar in Born. The province of Limburg has subsequently decided that the tree in which the owl is located may not be felled. Trees within a radius of 75 meters may also not be cut down, a spokesman for the province said on Friday.
