The police handed out several fines during an alcohol check in Deventer on Thursday. Not only drunk drivers were intercepted, a driver on an electric scooter also fell through the basket.
It is not known whether the driver of the electric scooter is aware that these vehicles are not allowed in the Netherlands, provided they have been approved by RDW. For the police, who held an alcohol check at various locations in Deventer on Thursday, it was reason enough to stop the scooter driver.
The scooter did not comply with the rules and was not allowed on the road. The driver received a ticket for this. It is not known whether this is as high as the amount, 307 euros, to have the scooter inspected.
Take to the office
In addition to the illegal electric scooter, 3 motorists had to go to the office for a breath analysis. Two of these were above the limit and received a report.
Police also handed out tickets for driving a red light and driving a vehicle without a driver’s license.
