Rob Goossens misses the mark with his latest attack on Halina Reijn. At least, that’s what actress Babette van Veen and writer Stella Bergsma think. “Well, that’s pretty relevant!”
Rob Goossens’ attacks against Halina Reijn just keep going. The actress was in the news this week because of the Amsterdam premiere of her film Bodies Bodies Bodies. She appeared on the red carpet with good friend Carice van Houten by her side. Carice was wearing a horrible outfit that has been frowned upon by many people.
Babette and Stella
How Rob looks at it? “Carice is ten times as beautiful as the woman standing next to her and who happens to be the director of the film (Halina Reijn, ed.), so in that respect it was also a kind of friend service,” he sneered.
Halina is ten times as ugly as Carice? Is all this really necessary to say? No, thinks GTST star actress Babette van Veen. “Clearer? You don’t say about a male director that his girlfriend is prettier, do you?”
And writer Stella Bergsma: “Well, that’s really relevant if you’re handsome in the eyes of Rob Goossens if you’ve just directed a great film.”
Rob responds
Rob responds to Stella’s criticism. “Of course everyone saw this misrepresentation coming from miles away. No, looks are not relevant in any way. But if your best friend has directed a top movie, she deserves it all shine on the red carpet and don’t want to be prettier than ‘the bride’.”
He continues: “Remember, Carice got the brunt of it because she looked like a clown. But my point was, and you certainly heard that dear Stella Bergsma, that with this outfit Carice ensured that Halina Reijn was the most beautiful woman on the red carpet. And that was sweet of her.”
Unhappy
One thing’s for sure: it came out pretty unhappy with Rob. Or not? “It didn’t come out unhappy at all! People always assume you mean something wrong. If I say that Messi can play football ten times better than Joey Veerman, then I don’t say that Veerman can’t do anything about it?”
It’s just a fuss about nothing, Rob decides. “That’s how Stella Bergsma rolls.”
