Stella Bergsma and Yesim Candan are done with it. They feel heavily discarded by the men of Today Inside and now want a women’s version on television. “With Soundos on the side!”
The men of Today Inside don’t have chemistry with everyone. They regularly had new guests at the table, but they did not return. The same goes for Stella Bergsma and Yesim Candan. And they find that especially annoying themselves. They are constantly shouting everywhere that they so badly want a new chance.
Yesim is fed up
After Yesim’s cry of desperation – she thinks that the men of VI only really show balls when she can sit there again – she was put through the wringer yesterday by Johan Derksen. At one point she was even compared to Donald Duck because her lips would look so sprayed on.
Yesim is fed up. “Well, luckily my lips were discussed at VI. Fortunately, men are allowed to talk about the appearance of women, but women are not allowed to. Remember the del-riot,” she tweeted.
Women VI
Now Yesim wants a women’s variant of VI to counterbalance. “It really would badass if a similar VI program with women is launched. This would really be emancipation on TV.”
Op1-basher Talitha Muusse on this: “Only the Netherlands has no funny (famous) women.”
Yesim: “I do know a lot of women that I find funny. I find Soundos funny.”
Soundos El Ahmadi must therefore also be included. And then Stella also makes herself heard: “YES. And then give those guys a good fuck.”
Yesim: “Exactly.”
Ladies night
Surely women’s talk shows have been tried before? They were all mega flops. The Net5 show Ladies Night even destroyed Merel Westrik’s career.
Just didn’t get enough time, says Stella. “No success is relative, I think it should have been given the chance for much longer. DWDD took three years to become reality. Things have to grow. But everyone felt like shooting it again. Just like here now on Twitter.”
Yesim agrees: “Ladies Night has been so long. We never did it again after that.”
‘really want’
They really can’t wait. “I definitely want to participate in that program and I am certainly not talentless,” says Stella. “Nobody dares to do that, unfortunately. I would love to do it and see a lot in it.”
It will be difficult to find women who have just as much fun as a René van der Gijp, critics think. Yesim: “Of course there are. Enough. We have to break something.”
