Steffi Verhagen from Boekel watched the first episode of the new season of Farmer seeks Woman with emotion. “There are many candidates with a story. The gun factor is very high. For example, when I hear the stories of Hilda and Hans, I already get tears in my eyes.”
The Hans Steffi is talking about is Hans de Roover from Strijbeek. In the number of letters that the candidates received, he was quite high in the ranking. Hans had said beforehand that he was one girl searched, but he got letters from 89 chicks. “Hans lost his wife and took care of his children at a young age. He now chooses women who went through the same thing. I got the shivers down my body,” says Steffi.
She wishes Hans every happiness in life. “I really hope he finds the right one. He has taken good care of his four children and made them a close family. Now that his children have flown out, I wish him a fantastic time with someone.”
The Boekel horse breeder thinks it could be a good season. “They are all sincere candidates who have the intention to find happiness in life. It will be a season of compassion and sitting on the edge of your seat.”
For Steffi and her husband Roel, the start of the new season of Boer is looking for a woman is a new experience. They found each other in the program and now have a daughter, Sterre. “It’s bizarre what such a program can bring about.”
The other candidate from Brabant, Joost de Groot from Langeweg, received 33 letters, just not enough to pass the programme. Only the five candidates who received the most letters from men or women will be followed in the upcoming season.
