95-time international Stefanie van der Gragt from Heerhugowaard is not in the selection for the practice matches against Zambia and Norway. The Amsterdam Merel van Dongen is in the 26-man selection.
Lieke Martens, Dominique Janssen and Shanice van der Sanden were also not selected. “We look at what is best for each individual. And after good consultation with players and their clubs, we have decided not to call up these four this time”, national coach Andries Jonker explains his choice.
Practice matches
On Thursday, October 6, the Orange squad will practice against Zambia. An exhibition game against Norway is scheduled for Tuesday 11 October.
