Stefan Kuntz: Two matches were enough for me, no need for a third!

A National Football Team was the guest of Latvia in the third match of 2024 European Football Championship Qualification Group D.

Nationals won the match 3-2 with the goal scored by İrfan Can Kahveci in 90+6 and rose to the top of the leader in the match.

A National Team Coach Stefan Kuntz made statements after the match.

HERE ARE KUNTZ’S WORDS:

“We knew how Latvia would play football. We worked hard for it. Despite this, they can still find a position. The hard part is.”

“We are happy that we won, but we don’t need to have a match like this in Latvia for the third time. Two matches were enough for me.”

“They could have given our second goal. If that goal had been valid, the game would have calmed down. We knew how Latvia would play. They are physically strong and they play from the air. Our players could not reflect their full performance in the first half. We talked about it at halftime.”

“Some of our players have been resting for 2 weeks, some of them played on Sunday. That’s why it was a bit difficult to find the balance within the team for this match. We fought until the end, we didn’t give up and we got the win.”

“It’s important that Hakan agrees with me. I don’t need to explain this again.”

“We also analyzed the Wales game. An important player received a red card in today’s matches. I am very happy to be going to Samsun. They told us how nice the atmosphere is. Right now, the team needs uninterrupted support.”

“We won hard against Latvia, we couldn’t score the goals we wanted. There are different criticisms. There are different criticisms. The fact that we go into such matters too much as an environment is stressful. Before the Wales match, we saw what an important match we won. There were criticisms that amounted to insulting Irfan Can. It needs to be fully supported. This applies to everyone. If everyone believes in these players, we can get different scores. I’m proud of my players.”
