Ski jumper Stefan Kraft is planning adjustments for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
“So far it hasn’t been the Olympic Games as I had hoped for. I’m certainly not going to do everything the same. It just has to happen,” said Kraft on Monday on “ServusTV”.
The 32-year-old won the gold medal with the Austrian team in team jumping in Beijing in 2022. Individual medals should finally be added at the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo (February 6th to 22nd).
“Of course you can focus on it a little, but not too much. You need a good mix and you have to be in very good shape at the time. Your self-confidence has to be right and on day
The Austrian is one of the most successful athletes of all time in his sport.
Ski jumping: Great competition in the ÖSV team
The competition in the ÖSV team is fierce, the three-time overall World Cup winner has to face the internal competition with Daniel Tschofenig, Jan Hörl and Co.
“We all have the same jumps, the same conditions and whoever is ahead at the end after two rounds deserves it. We know that everyone works very hard for themselves and does everything for it. I always say that I would prefer it if someone from my own team is at the top than someone from another nation,” Kraft reacted.
Kraft takes a break from the World Cup
The veteran is currently taking a break. The happy background: Kraft’s wife Marisa is expecting their first child at the beginning of December.
“We would be ready, but apparently it’s still very fine in our stomachs. We’re looking from day to day and we’re both doing very well and are full of anticipation,” revealed the 2014/15 Four Hills Tournament winner.
