The popular steak restaurant Loetje on Doctor Batenburglaan in Breda was evacuated for some time on Tuesday evening. Around eight o’clock a ‘nuisance odor’ was smelled, possibly a gas odor. The fire brigade took measurements and found nothing dangerous.
Many guests decided not to wait for the fire brigade’s measurements and left for home. After more than an hour, the remaining guests were able to go back inside.
It remains unclear what caused the stench.
