Statues of Jesse and Walter now stand in Albuquerque

Two bronze statues have stood at the Albuquerque Convention Center in the state of New Mexico since July 29: crystal meth specialists Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. With these gifts, “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan thanked the city of Albuquerque, where he has been shooting series in the “Breaking Bad” universe for 15 years.

Both Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, who is suffering from cancer, and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) were there. “I auditioned for ‘Breaking Bad’ and it changed my entire life,” Paul admitted. The series is still a huge part of his life.

No pigeons in the convention center

Cranston gave the event the necessary self-mockery. “We are delighted and embarrassed that there are now statues of us.” It’s difficult to prepare for something like this, he added. “I’m pretty glad it’s not outside or pigeons would shit on our heads.”

Series creator Vince Gilligan addressed fans at the unveiling of the statues. As a reminder, the final season of Better Caul Saul is currently streaming on Netflix. There are only three episodes left. Gilligan promised fans that Walter and Jesse will be part of the final episodes. “Next Monday night, if you’re watching AMC, you could see them both on ‘Better Call Saul,'” the series creator said.
