Station dog Mannes in Assen is nicely patched up again

There was a lot of fuss about that renovation. Just like about the bill, which according to the municipality of Assen belonged to the two artists of the image. According to the agreement, they would do the maintenance for ten years. Because the artists failed to do so, Assen had the dog repaired in order to prevent further decay. She recovered the costs from the artist.

One of the artists felt that the original Mannes had become unrecognizable after the refurbishment. He demanded that the artificial dog be removed. The judge rejected that. The bill for the repair work, which the municipality had advanced, was eventually shared by several parties after a settlement.

The municipality of Assen now says it has lost 365 euros to patch up Mannes. She pays the additional costs for installing the new limescale filter system. The other costs are for the account of the artists, because it concerns regular maintenance.
