In Groningen, the Bloemenjaarmarkt is back on Good Friday. Market master Dirkjan Kooiman hopes that about 40 to 50,000 people will visit the city center.

Such numbers of people together, shuffling along the dozens of stalls might take some getting used to after two years of corona. Kooiman: ,,Usually there are many more, but I don’t think everyone is eager to be in a large crowd yet.”

At the flower market in Groningen, always crowded by people from Germany, more than a hundred market vendors offer their flowers and plates. In addition, there is also a regular market.

Now that the corona measures have been lifted, can we move into a crowd again without worry? Participate in the Theorem of the day and leave a comment.
