Statement of the day | The term ‘cross-border behaviour’ is too vague

Cross-border behavior is a much-discussed topic. It went wrong with TV programs ‘NOS Studio Sport’ and ‘DWDD’. But what does the term actually mean, and isn’t it too vague?

Lawyer Caroline Koetsenruijter thinks so. “I want us to get it out of the shadowy language. It is internal aggression if you have your paws on a colleague or humiliate him because of a different cultural background,” she says in Newspaper of the North.

According to Koetsenruijter, we must determine what exactly transgressive behavior is about. “We are talking here about violent verbal aggression, about sexual violence, about systematic humiliation, exclusion, discrimination.”
