Governments are going to curb wild swimming in open water. Good plan, or pure patronage?
Just as we are in the middle of a heat wave, the message comes that governments are going to regulate swimming in open water more strictly. More and more often, swimmers are landing in places where this is not actually the intention, such as near rivers, canals and canals.
Provinces and municipalities have long condoned this, but are now going to make the ‘wild swimming locations’ safer or actively discourage them. Good plan, or pure patronage?
