Statement of the day | It shows common sense that LTO starts the conversation with Johan Remkes

The farmers’ organization LTO Nederland still wants to discuss the nitrogen plans of the cabinet with mediator Johan Remkes. Earlier, LTO held off the boat.

LTO did not want to sit down before the cabinet promised to discuss the ‘target, timeline and details’ of the nitrogen measures. Chairman Sjaak van der Tak says that Prime Minister Mark Rutte has promised him in a telephone conversation that there are ‘no taboos’ for the cabinet. LTO had made this a condition for joining the ‘exploratory meeting’ of next Friday, which will be led by Remkes.

Farmers Defense Force and Agriculture

Farmers Defense Force refuses to sit down with Remkes because he has too little room to negotiate. Agractie does have a telephone appointment with Remkes, but it is still uncertain whether this organization will also be present at Friday’s meeting.

Whether or not at the table with Remkes, what is wisdom?
