Even before the exploratory phase has started, the VVD has decided not to participate in a cabinet. According to VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz, the loss is too great for that.
She says she is willing to tolerate a ‘cabinet of winners’. “I sincerely don’t want to make anything more difficult, but rather help a constructive center-right cabinet move forward,” he said Yeşilgöz.
PVV leader Geert Wilders reacts disappointed. According to him, the VVD is going against the wishes of its own voters. ,, I don’t think that is what the VVD voter wants,” said Wilders. He states that the VVD supporters are ‘waiting for a centre-right cabinet’.
