Statement of the day | Detouring for cheap fuel is nonsense

Gasoline and diesel will become more expensive on Saturday. Gas stations foresee long queues at the pump in the coming days.

Nevertheless, our reporter Jan Westera gave five tips why you should not let your head go crazy and fill your tank head over heels at a cheap gas station.

According to him, the profit is minimal, making detours takes too much time (and time is money), detouring to a cheap pump is bad for the environment and the risk of damage is high because of stressed motorists at the pump.

What do you think? Is the detour really worth it? Or do the disadvantages still outweigh the costs you save by looking for a cheap pump? Respond to our statement of the day.
