Statement from Galatasaray! VAR records… – Last minute Galatasaray news

TFF’s announcement of the VAR records of the Sivasspor-Galatasaray match fell like a bomb on the agenda. After Sivasspor, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, Galatasaray also issued a statement on the subject.

Here is that explanation;

“In accordance with the ‘transparency principle’ of the Turkish Football Federation, we are very pleased to share with the public the VAR records of the two positions in Demir Grup Sivasspor – Galatasaray and Gaziantep FK – Beşiktaş matches and their evaluations about the referees who took part in these matches.

Although we see this as an important step, we think that we are at the beginning of the road to ensure justice in Turkish football. Not only the VAR record of a position in the match we played; We want the record of all controversial positions to be disclosed, especially the position where our football player Victor Nelsson was dropped inside the opponent’s penalty area. In this way, we believe that everyone can see the effect of what happened on the result more clearly.

With the belief that the Turkish Football Federation will apply this stance not only to Galatasaray but also to 18 other clubs, we expect the VAR records of all matches played or to be played this season to be made public. We believe that even the announcement of the VAR records of the Galatasaray – Corendon Alanyaspor match will bring an end to the existing discussions about the referee, who will lead the match, and will shed light on our search for justice for the matches to be played this week and from now on.

As Galatasaray Sports Club, we would like to thank the Turkish Football Federation for this step towards transparency and justice, which we have been expressing for a long time. We would like to state that our search will continue without stopping and that we will stand behind this struggle until the end.

Regards,
Galatasaray Sports Club”
