State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) Maarten van Ooijen today sent his follow-up approach One against loneliness 2022-2025 to the House of Representatives. An approach that is desperately needed now that almost half of the Dutch feel lonely and one in ten feels lonely. The new approach presented in the Week against Loneliness is aimed at Dutch people of all ages. An extra €40 million has been made available for the follow-up approach during this cabinet term. In addition, the campaign `A small gesture can make a difference` will draw attention to this problem.
