Stasegem jewelry store robbers arrested
Residents heard shouting and glass breaking during the robbery. One of the robbers dropped a bag on the street, but then the duo fled with the car. The police were able to chase them and after the car with a Dutch number plate went wrong on the E17, it caused an accident on the E40 in Sint-Denijs-Westrem. As a result, officers managed to arrest one young man and later arrested his runaway partner. In the trunk of the car was a bag with jewelry, presumably from the jewelry store in Stasegem.
The suspects are two people in their early twenties from the Netherlands. It is not the first time that they have come into contact with the parquet.
