The tender procedure for the operation of the Dutch pavilion during the world exhibition Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan has started. This tender for the exploitation offers companies active in the hospitality and facility sector the opportunity to present themselves on the international stage. A consortium is being sought that can organize and implement the catering, hospitality, personnel, operational and event management, security, cleaning and operation of the gift shop of the Dutch pavilion.
Expo 2025 Osaka will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 in Japan. The organization expects to receive approximately 28 million business and private visitors, of which approximately 90% will come from Japan. More than 160 countries and organizations will participate. This edition has the theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’ and will be about shaping a world where major crises surrounding, for example, climate and health will affect the quality of life.
The Dutch participation has the theme ‘Common Ground: creating a new dawn together’ and wants to show visitors Dutch innovative solutions in the field of, among other things, the energy transition. During Expo 2025, the Netherlands wants to offer companies, knowledge institutions and (cultural) organizations a meeting place in the pavilion to bring together different perspectives and expertise and thus arrive at joint solutions to global challenges. In addition to the visitor experience, there is an event space, shop and café in the pavilion. The design was created by architectural firm RAU, engineering firm DGMR, experience design studio Tellart and the Japanese construction company Asanuma.
