Actor David Soul has died at the age of 80. Seoul’s wife Hellen Sell announces the sad news on her husband’s official website.
According to Sell, Soul died of exhaustion after a long illness on Thursday, January 4, in a London hospital.
– Those whose lives he touched will remember his smile, laughter and passion for life, the wife’s statement reads.
Soul became one of the icons of pop culture performed in the 1970s Starsky & Hutch with the series. He played the other main character, Constable Kenneth “Hutch” Hutchinson, from 1975 to 1979. Soul returned to his iconic role in 2004 when Starsky & Hutch was made into a remake. They also played the main roles in the film Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
In addition, Soul is known, among other things, for its roles Here Come the Brides -, Magnum Force – and The Yellow Rose in the movies.
Soul was married five times during his life. He has five sons and a daughter born during his marriages. Soul started dating Sell in 2022, and the couple got married in June 2010.
