Star Wars – “The Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper Premium Electronic Helmet”

With the Hasbro has The Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper Premium Electronic Helmet released a new stormtrooper helmet from the “Black Series”. Hatched in yellow and orange with signs of wear, the helmet is used by artillery soldiers transporting mortars. This stormtrooper unit can be seen in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian as they take on the Rambo-2-esque rush up the hill where Mando and Grogu are holed up and receive unexpected help from Boba Fett. We test the helmet.

Review: “The Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper Premium Electronic Helmet”

Star Wars The Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper Premium Electronic Helmet

Per:

– The weather marks in the front area look authentic – even if they only adorn the yellow rank stripe, not the white areas. It would probably have been too complicated to depict weather traces over different shades of white.

– three-dimensional applications, like the breathing filters, look good.

– Finally a stormtrooper helmet that consists of two instead of three parts – the lower parts are already assembled, only the upper helmet area has to be put on.

– The weight feels valuable, also thanks to the metal gills. A fabric pad catches the nose on the inside.

Cons:

– the helmet may be too heavy for children. The age recommendation from 14 years is to be taken seriously.

– the head strap inside the helmet is adjustable, but made of rubber, which is not really comfortable to wear. Air holes would have been too nice, otherwise you can sweat a little.

– is a voice changer better than no voice changer at all? The voice is definitely distorted, just not in the style of the original microphones; the voice sounds rather watery and as an overlay over the normal, still clearly audible voice. The plastic button on the outside of the helmet for activation, on the other hand, works perfectly.

Conclusion:

Star Wars The Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper Premium Electronic Helmet

A high-quality Hasbro helmet with successful applications, which is only a little disappointing because of the voice changer.
