Star parade spoils Koksijde during Night of the Proms

About 13,000 people enjoyed the classic Night of the Proms recipe last Thursday and Friday: a hearty mix between classical music and pop music. Together with the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra, many national and international stars brought Koksijde to swing last Thursday and Friday. Kate Ryan, Natalia, Metejoor, Bart Peeters, Mama’s Jasje, John Miles Jr., Katrina (Katrina & The Waves) and Umberto Tozzi, they spoiled the audience with their greatest hits. In addition, some local talents such as Long Dieusaert and Kaatje Bailleul made their appearance.

On Friday, however, the organization had to change their program as a last resort. Umberto Tozzi had to leave in a hurry for family reasons and he was replaced very last minute by Mama’s Jacket. However, the audience did not let the world star’s absence come to their hearts and they enjoyed the music of Peter Van Laet to their heart’s content.

“We’ve been working towards this third edition with a lot of people and it’s fantastic to see that the audience is enjoying every second and completely absorbed in the music and the atmosphere. We are grateful to the municipality of Koksijde for being able to achieve this together with them,” concludes Jan Vereecke of Night of the Proms.
