Based on the negotiations surrounding the spring decision-making process, the cabinet has decided to terminate the STAP budget. From 2024, the government will no longer make any resources available for this.
Despite the termination of the STAP budget, the need for lifelong development remains. Especially in the current situation on the labor market. That is why Minister Van Gennip (Social Affairs and Employment) is looking into how she can continue to encourage this in the coming period.
The application period of next Monday 1 May will continue as planned. EUR 32 million is available for this period. Interested parties can register for STAP budget via the UWV STAP portal.
