A staff member of football club asv Dronten is ‘seriously threatened’. The board of the association reports this in a statement. It is not clear who is involved and what the nature of the threat is. According to the board, it goes ‘beyond all boundaries’. “This is completely intolerable!”
The board of asv Dronten writes that they are ‘extremely shocked’. ‘We abhor conduct that is disrespectful, and conduct that exceeds the limits of what is permissible to such an extent – as in the present case – we abhor!’
The club does not succumb to threats, the board emphasizes. The statement shows that possibly several people have targeted the staff member. ‘To the person(s) concerned: stop it! And the urgent appeal to all to positively support our club, to treat each other with mutual respect and to enter into dialogue where necessary.’
‘Priceless’
And: ‘A large number of volunteers and staff members put a lot of time and energy into the club and are invaluable for keeping our association going. The board is behind them.”
It is not known whether a complaint has been filed. Chairman Jan Bollemaat could not yet be reached for comment.
