Stabbing at Izegem hospital: two injured, including a doctor

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the emergency department of the hospital. A man volunteered with a friend who was very confused.

Suddenly, the suspect pulled out a knife and lashed out. The friend was stabbed, but the emergency doctor was also slightly injured.

Arrest in the street

The perpetrator then fled into the street but was arrested by the police a short time later. He will have to appear before the investigating judge. He will decide what will happen to the man.

There is a good chance that he will be forced to be committed to a psychiatric facility.
