Stabbing at Domino’s Pizza: 3.5 years in prison demanded against suspect

The man who stabbed an employee of Domino’s Pizza on Bolkenplein in Veghel last June will be jailed for 3.5 years, according to the Public Prosecution Service. That became clear in the Den Bosch court on Wednesday.

The man had gone into the Domino’s branch to order a pizza. After he picked it up and walked away, half of his pizza fell to the ground without him noticing. When he returned a short time later, there was an altercation with the staff.

The suspect attacked one of the employees. He pulled a knife and the victim was stabbed in one of his arms. The suspect then fled on foot.

The police immediately distributed a citizen network report. Several police officers went looking for the man, who was arrested shortly afterwards in the center thanks to a tip from an observant passer-by.

The police investigated after the stabbing.
