SriLankan Airlines has suspended flights to Moscow due to sanctions against Russia, reported airline website.
The company explained that it could not fly due to international financial and insurance restrictions against Russia.
SriLankan Airlines operated two flights a week from Colombo to Moscow. The airline hopes to resume flights as soon as the situation improves.
Earlier, Aeroflot announced that it would resume regular flights to Sri Lanka on April 8. Airbus A330 liners will operate three flights a week from Moscow to Colombo and back.
