The game between Hull and Norwich ended in the English championship with a draw. An animal visitor caused a vortex shortly before the guests compensated.

A squirrel has become a secret star in the football game of the two English second division clubs Hull City and Norwich City. The rodent had apparently strayed to the MKM Stadium and suddenly found himself on the field during the game.

Shortly after the half -time break, Norwich initiated an attack for Hull at 1-0. Foreign defensive Kellen Fisher was played on the right side, took a few steps with the ball on the edge of the box-and just a few meters away, the squirrel whipped over the square in parallel to the 20-year-old.

Apparently the animal visitor brought the guests luck. Because just one lash later, the ball was suddenly in the goal of Hull City. Fisher had flanked into the penalty area, striker Josh Sargent promoted the ball over the line. For the former Werder Bremen player, it was already the ninth goal of the season in the championship.

A photo on the online platform X shows Kellen Fisher how he cheers at the edge of the penalty area after his American teammate’s goal. To recognize again not far from the full -back: the squirrel. A very unusual sight at a professional game.

For Norwich, the tie in the promotion struggle in the league is not enough. The “Canaries” are currently only twelfth in the table. Sixth place, which still enables participation in the promotion relegation, is now four points away.

Hull moves through one counter in turn to 21st place and thus leaves the relegation ranks. The situation for the “Tigers” remains delicate.
