It were tough days for the camping guests at the Veluwe Strandbad recreation resort in Elburg. ,,I’ve been awake all night”, says Franny Verweij, while in the shade she enjoys the peace that there is at that moment. There is no such thing as a beep, but from Sunday to Monday the sound was continuous, she says. ,,I’m used to the sound of the busy road that runs along here, but it was a very high-pitched sound. Really sad to hear. And certainly at night.”
