Sprint violence with Kooij and Cavendish in ZLM Tour live at Omroep Brabant

It is the last and most important preparation race for the sprinters in the Tour de France. The ZLM Tour, one of the largest multi-day cycling races in the Benelux, is passing through our province this week. It is the ideal opportunity for top sprinters such as Olav Kooij and Marc Cavendish to dot the i’s and cross the i’s for the Tour. And everything can be followed live at Omroep Brabant.

The ZLM Tour this year is largely a real Brabant round. The prologue on Wednesday evening 7 June and the first stage a day later are still in Zeeland, but on Friday morning the peloton will be ready in Schijndel for a 184 kilometer ride to Buchten in Limburg.

Saturday and Sunday it will be a Brabant party. Saturday 10 June the start and finish is in Roosendaal, on Sunday the ride starts and ends in Oosterhout.

Favorites
Big favorite in this ZLM Tour is last year’s winner, Olav Kooij. But the Dutch top sprinter will face tough competition. Former world champion Marc Cavendish, among others, is at the start. And Cees Bol and the Australian Sam Welsford will undoubtedly also want to get involved in the sprint violence.

For Brabant success, we mainly hope for former Dutch champion Timo Roosen from Goirle. Although he will probably have to drive in the service of Kooij.

Brabant+
All stages of the ZLM Tour can be followed live on Brabant+. That is the new free app with which the complete video range of the broadcaster can be seen on demand. With the app, comparable to services such as Netflix and NPO Start, you can watch series from Brabant soil for free and ad-free, wherever and whenever you want.

You can also watch live TV with the app and listen to Omroep Brabant radio. The ZLM Tour is the first event that can be followed live on Brabant+ in its entirety. The stages of Saturday and Sunday can also be seen live on Omroep Brabant TV.
