Spread Group brings in two new managers

Leipzig-based made-to-order specialist Spread Group has filled two key positions. Ferdinand von Humboldt has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Frank Bartelt as Chief Operating Officer (COO), the parent company of the Spreadshirt, Teamshirts and Spreadshop brands announced on Tuesday.

Humboldt’s new CFO brings his “many years of operational and strategic finance experience to the group,” explained the fashion tech company. His area of ​​responsibility now includes “further strengthening the financial and innovative strength of the Spread Group and implementing the corporate strategy aimed at growth, innovation and verticalization together with the management team.”

CEO Julian de Grahl has high hopes for the new addition: “Ferdinand’s strong corporate finance background will help us to further advance the implementation of our strategic initiatives,” he explained in a statement.

The new COO Bartelt has already held management positions at Picanova and Zalando

As COO, Bartelt will “focus on the further optimization of customer-centric processes, new technologies and a comprehensive expansion of the product range,” the company said. In addition to the “constant improvement in product quality and investment in new finishing techniques”, “new scaling potentials should also be developed”.

Before joining Spread Group, Bartelt worked as COO at digital photo service provider Picanova for four years. He also has management experience at the online fashion retailer Zalando.

“In his previous tasks in the industry, he has shown that he can provide important impetus for agile company growth by focusing on technological innovations and the service concept,” explained CEO de Grahl. “This approach also corresponds to our corporate philosophy. We look forward to working together to further develop the Spread Group on this path.”
