In the statement made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), it was said, “There is no unlawful protection or protection of any club, and our Federation is at an equal distance from every club.”
Making a written statement on the allegations in the media that some club managers interfered with the disciplinary referrals and the decisions made by the disciplinary board and that some clubs were protected, the Football Federation used the following statements:
“It has been seen in the media that some club managers interfere with the disciplinary referrals and the decisions made by the disciplinary committee, and there are unfair and baseless claims that some clubs are protected.
We would like the public to know clearly that, as stated several times before, disciplinary referrals are made by disciplinary inspectors working at TFF Legal Consultancy, based on the reports of representatives and referees in the competitions, within the framework of the procedures and principles set forth in the TFF Statute and Instructions.
Disciplinary decisions regarding these referrals made on the basis of concrete evidence and justifications are made by independent disciplinary boards after the necessary examination, and in case of objection to these decisions, they become final with the decision of the independent Arbitration Board, which derives its authority from law and status.
It is not possible for the TFF President, Board of Directors and executives to have any influence on the disciplinary processes or the functioning and decisions of the independent judiciary boards. The most recent example of this is the abolition of the decision of MHK, which was also discussed in the public, regarding the Super League and 1st League Referee and Observer Classes, which was approved by the TFF Executive Board, by the Arbitration Board. In addition, TFF officials prepare their reports regarding the matches over the Football Management System (FYS), and no one is likely to interfere with these reports.
There is no unlawful protection or protection of any club, and our Federation is at an equal distance from every club.
We invite all stakeholders of football to avoid statements that implicate institutions and boards and to be prudent, and we wish that our Ramadan Feast, which is once again the symbol of tolerance and unity, will be a blessing for the Turkish football community.”
