Dominated bodybuilding competitions at the turn of the millennium Ronnie Coleman is no longer in good health.

Coleman, who trained himself to become a giant in his competitive career, is now suffering the consequences of his success and has even been on the operating table for back surgery more than ten times.

Fitness volt– website, Coleman is no longer able to walk without support. However, that hasn’t kept the man away from the gym, as he still works out with weights. Eight times Mr. Olympia, Coleman says he has no regrets about his decision to push his body to its limits and beyond.

Coleman’s bodybuilder friend and former competition partner Samir Bannout recently told the Muscle Maturity podcast that he was frustrated after seeing an out-of-shape Coleman handing out awards at this year’s Arnold Classic.

– We know he trained like crazy. We know he was very strong, but I think there should have been some sort of limit and realized that “too much is too much, I look good, I’ve won the Olympia eight times.” Life goes on even after that, Bannout describes.

Coleman reigned as Mr. Olympia for years until finally in 2006 Jay Cutler was better. The duo’s duel for the scepter is described as the sport’s most significant era. Cutler, who is nine years younger, has not suffered from as serious problems as Coleman since his career.

– Now we have Cutler, who remained young and healthy, and Ronnie, who is falling apart, Bannout states.
