Sports centers measure damage after storm

Yesterday afternoon the first glass wall on the padel field of TC De Maene in Diksmuide broke apart due to the strong wind. Four other walls have been followed. The wind was blowing so hard that the construction of the walls bent slightly. The safety glass, which is not bendable, burst into very small pieces. Meanwhile, the new windows are already installed. It is not yet clear when it can be played again. The club first wants to be sure that all glass particles have been removed from the field.

Yesterday all the roof insulation of the canteen and the changing rooms of KFC Eendracht blew onto the football field in Hooglede. The original roof is still on it, so the canteen and changing rooms are still usable. It is the insulation and the rubber cloth that were attached to the original roof for reinforcement that now cover the football field due to the wind. This makes playing impossible at the moment.
