Rob Jetten does not reveal much about his private life, but one of his sports buddies is now opening a book about him on the juice page of De Groene Amsterdammer. “He showers with coffee!”
35-year-old Rob Jetten is very busy as climate minister. So busy that his relationship with Sjoerd van Gils quietly came to an end at the beginning of this year. Did Yvonne Coldeweijer bring this out? The Private maybe? Or the Story? No! The Green Amsterdammer also has spies, including Rob’s sports buddy Habin Kocer.
Little sleep
Rob and Habin met at the gym and have been very good friends ever since, although they have little time for each other. The climate minister works so hard that there is hardly any private life. “He prefers to exercise at six o’clock in the morning and often works until midnight”, can be read in De Groene.
There isn’t even enough time to sleep in the Jetten house, says Habin. “He only sleeps five hours a night and if it’s three, he’s fine with that.”
Shower with coffee
Because of all that stress, Rob has no patience for anything anymore, Habin explains. “He drinks coffee in the shower because he thinks it’s a shame to ‘just drink coffee and nothing else’. Everything must have a function.”
Around the time there were rumors of Rob’s possible ministerial position, Habin barely heard from his good friend either. “He makes such a choice all by himself. I even took some distance because I know: he only wants to decide these kinds of things.”
Breakup
According to De Groene, Rob is quite introverted. “There is a tragic paradox in Jetten. He pays a lot of attention to the people around him, but he is closed about his own inner world. At the beginning of this year, Jetten’s relationship ended, something he doesn’t talk about much about.”
How do the colleagues of story against that? “The increased pressure and stress in his current job would have played a significant role in the unexpected split between Rob and Sjoerd, who got to know each other within D66”, analyzes the entertainment magazine.
New partner
The big question is of course: is Rob back on the market? Will we see him on Grindr soon? The Story: “It is unknown if there would be a new partner in the game; given his overcrowded agenda, the chance with the minister is in any case not very great.”
