Sports brand Smilodox expands into ten markets worldwide

The Hamburg sports brand Smilodox GmbH & Co.KG has already made a name for itself in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since it was founded in 2013. The company is now expanding worldwide and just a few days ago launched ten country-specific online shops in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, the USA and Japan.

From the very beginning, the goal of the three founders was to become the largest sports brand in the world. This is what the three sports-loving brothers are working towards, who started the label with a few shoes and T-shirts in their parents’ basement. Less than ten years later, the company employs over 40 people and has annual sales in the high eight-digit range. The Hamburg office also has its own fitness studio and photo studio.

Smilodox offers sportswear for men and women that focuses on feeling good and looking good. “In addition to implementing trends and customer requests, the company is also increasingly paying attention to sustainability. Smilodox recently launched a collection in which 200,000 recycled PET bottles were processed,” the company reports in a press release.

The brand uses social media to spread awareness and engage its customers. Fitness influencer Uwe Schüder, also known as “Flying Uwe”, as well as fitness model Stephanie Davis and MMA fighter Nasrat Haqparast will help with this. Smilodox works with Amazon and Zalando as trading partners.
