The Asturians have gone six days without defeat

Campos and Pascanu scored the goals in the first half

Sporting remains undefeated at El Molinón after winning 2-0 against Elche this Wednesday, that did not give up but that barely bothered a defense that has gone three consecutive games without conceding a goal.

The rojiblancos were the ones who had by far the greatest and clearest opportunities.

The two teams guarded their respective goals well when they defended and pressured the opponent’s ball, in which the locals were more effective because they stole several balls throughout the first half that allowed them to create clear chances from the start.

The first was in a center Rober Pier that Djurdjevic played and to which San Roma respondedn with a very worthwhile stop. It was the first chance of many that the rojiblancos had in the first 45 minutes.

Gaspar had the second, to which Elche responded with a boarding of Plano.

Sporting’s arrivals were continuous with a very incisive Hassan until that Gaspar Campos managed to successfully complete one of them with a shot from the edge of the small area that San Román did not reach.

Sporting scored the second before the break in a play that Pacanu finished from the penalty spot after a header from Otero.

Beccacece made the first changes at the start of the second half, bringing on Sergio León and Febas, but the chances continued to fall to Sporting with two powerful shots from Djurdjevic to which San Román responded very well.

The pressure from the rojiblancos continued to be intense and against Elche It was very difficult for him to get the ball.

The string of changes in both teams influenced the pace of the game and Elche stretched a little by making the orderly red-and-white defense work harder, which went through a couple of dangerous situations.

Sporting, as the end of the match approached, sought more to maintain the advantage acquired in the first half, although they tried to do so in a couple of Queipo’s starts, including a couple of shots that came close to Elche’s goal.

The scoreboard did not move and Sporting remains undefeated at home, with six games without losing, with four wins and two draws, and three consecutive days without conceding a goal.
