However, for the 2023/2024 season, Jako will be the outfitter of the Bundesliga soccer club 1. FSV Mainz 05.
The contract between the German sports goods manufacturer and the club is designed for five years until the end of June 2028, Jako announced on Monday. Jako is thus replacing the previous outfitter Kappa.
“We are extremely pleased that we can enter into a strategic partnership with FSV Mainz 05 from the 2023/2024 season,” says Tobias Röschl, Director of Marketing & Sales at Jako. “The talks made it very clear that the values of the association and of Jako as a medium-sized family business are almost identical and that this results in many common interests and projects.”
Jako was founded in 1989 and is based in Hollenbach, near Augsburg. The company equips more than 100,000 clubs in 50 countries, including Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
